Enough!

What is the matter with us?  Why do we sell AR15's?  Why do we sell ammunition for assault rifles? The Second Amendment does not say that Americans have the right to keep assault weapons. This is crazy. One man took out 50 people and injured another 53. Should we just ban white males?  That makes as much sense as banning Muslims. All mass murderers are white males. Perhaps what we really should ban are assault weapons. Enough!

  1. The Left Chose Islam Over Gays. Now 100 People Are Dead Or Maimed In Orlando

Over 100 people have been killed or maimed at a gay dance club in Orlando by Omar Mateen, a Muslim terrorist. How many more innocent gays need to die before we admit that America, and the world, has an Islam problem?
I don’t mean a “radical Islam” problem or an “extremist Islam problem.” Violence is not the extreme in Islam any more: it’s the norm. The public’s patience for comments like the one below, from the dimwitted lesbian Sally Kohn, are wearing thin. As for mine, it’s long since run out.

EVERY religion has sub-groups of intolerant extremism. You can't tell me the problem is religion. The problem is intolerant extremism!

Obama’s response to the tragedy today was similarly limp-wristed. He made no mention of Islam or Muslims, instead condemning “hate and terror” and taking a brazen swipe at gun rights activists by noting “how easy it is to let people get their hands on a weapon.”

He didn’t even address the uniquely homophobic character of the attack. What a good liberal!

There’s no more room for equivocating. The Orlando shooting isn’t just the deadliest terrorist attack on U.S. shores since 9/11. It is also, by far, the worst act of violent homophobia in the nation’s history and the deadliest mass shooting in America ever.

According to the murderer’s father, his son became angry after he saw two men kissing in the street. “This had nothing to do with religion,” said the father, Seddique Mateen. “He saw two men kissing each other in front of his wife and kid and he got very angry” — as if that was some kind of excuse.

That same father is on record defending the Taliban.

What sort of a man gets so angry by displays of affection, joy, and love that he chooses to gun down innocent people in a nightclub? A Muslim man. And if this one isn’t particularly religious, imagine how much worse the faithful must be.

  2. Christian refuses to bake a cake for a gay couple, it's a hate crime. When a gay hating Muslim murders 50 people, it's a gun problem.

  3. There is nothing passionate about Islamist-Muslim radicals cutting peoples heads off. Or tossing gay people off of buildings.

  4. While the left have ridiculed and berated Fox News and other right leaning websites and news agencies, they now turn once again to gun control as they weep for 50 gays killed. Where has this outrage been when Fox and others have reported on homosexuals in Iraq, Syria, and Libya being thrown from buildings, beheaded, and tortured? even in the face of undeniable Islamist hatred for Americans of all stripe, the left ignores the real threat and goes back to the gun control trough. Guns are not the problem, gun free zones and anti gun propaganda are killing people.

Democrats are going to have to decide with victim group they want to side with on this one: Muslims or homosexuals.

Oh wait, let's blame guns and white, Christian men. People are now seeing the absurdity of the far left.

  5. ^Right wing ignorance on display.^

This wasn't about Islam. This was about homophobia. This was about a gun nut getting his nut off killing people he doesn't like. Its the American Way.

  6. I wonder how Gays feel today? The left has now selected Muslims as the No.1, protected class in the country. After all if Gays were still No.1, they would say it WAS about Islam wouldn't they?

  7. It is amazing to see the media trying to twist a terrorist attack into homophobia. Sort of like saying the Nazis only fault was anti-Semitism.

    Enough!
What is the matter with us? Why do we sell AK15's? Why do we sell ammunition for assault rifles? The Second Amendment does not say that Americans have the right to keep assault weapons. Dear Reader,

Please excuse Lynne Bratcher for dishing out the above blog posting in kneejerk sympathy with her fellow Liberal Democrat's illogical and politically motivated reaction to the reported Orlando shooting.

"What is the matter with us?" Note the purposeful reference to "us", as if you, I, or millions of other Americans are anything but peaceful, law-abiding citizens. Ms. Bratcher has made a rather insulting insinuation against us, has she not?

"Why do we sell AK15's ?" Well, there she's done it again! Never mind that she doesn't know what she's writing about, as the reported weapon used was an AR-15.

"The Second Amendment does not say that Americans have the right to keep assault weapons." While this is accurate, it's only because at the time of it's writing, a hand-loaded single shot musket was the state-of-the-art weapon for the anti-British terrorists known as our Founding Fathers.

For that matter, please review the Amendments to our Constitution and realize that:

The 1st Amendment prohibits the making of any law respecting an establishment of religion, yet if you examine our currency/coinage it clearly states "In God We Trust." President's routinely close their speeches with the phrase, "and God Bless America."

The 4th Amendment prohibits unreasonable searches and seizures and sets out requirements for search warrants based on probable cause as determined by a neutral judge or magistrate. This has now been completely eviscerated in recent years, and Americans are no longer protected from abusive government overreach.

The 6th Amendment protects the right to a fair and speedy public trial by jury, including the rights to be notified of the accusations, to confront the accuser, to obtain witnesses and to retain counsel. This is not a consistent legal practice, and in the worst case is entirely ignored.

The 10th Amendment reinforces the principle of federalism by stating that the federal government possesses only those powers delegated to it by the states or the people through the Constitution. This amendment is also routinely ignored and superceded by an ever expansive federal government.

And of course, had Lynne Bratcher been living in our country prior to 1920, she would not have been allowed to vote. So, proffering the argument that the Second Amendment doesn't mention "assault weapons" (her prejudiced language) is a ridiculous gambit by Liberal Democrats.

"One man took out 50 people and injured another 53." Now this statement is simply false. Ms. Bratcher is making the claim that all dead and wounded were shot by the reported assailant, and this is clearly not the truth.

"Should we just ban white males?" Lynne Bratcher is off on a hysterical rant....again!
Let's concentrate on our own city. Racially, the KCMO population is 59% White, 29% Black, 10% Hispanic, 2% Other.
In 2015, KCMO recorded 109 homicides.
The top 4 homicide suspect (perpetrator) groups by percentage are Unknown (38%); Black Males (37%); White Males (13%); Black Females (8%).
See all the KCPD homicide statistics here: http://kcmo.gov/police/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2015/12/HOM001DailyHomicideAnalysis2015-12-31-08-00-33.pdf

"All mass murderers are white males." This is a blanket statement by Lynne Bratcher, and she is wrong once again. Please keep in mind that Ms. Bratcher is a practicing attorney, which perhaps makes it even a little more surprising that this type of partisan Liberal Democrat nonsense would be posted from her. Upon further reflection, I'm reminded that President Obama, Senator McCaskill, KCMO Mayor James, and numerous other misguided loons are also attorneys.

"Enough"? Yes, we finally agree on something! Collect the facts and think before you speak or write on a topic.

  11. Way to deliberately miss the point.

No other country has this problem, because no other country allows their citizens to own murder weapons.

Black males kill each other. White males kill volumes of strangers.

Speaking to Rich Zeoli on Talk Radio 1210 WPHT Monday, Breitbart Tech editor Milo Yiannopoulos said that Islam as a whole, not just the extremists, was the root course of violent attacks on gays and women by Muslims.
“I’m not talking about Islamists. I’m not talking about terrorists. I’m not talking about radical Islam. I’m talking about mainstream Muslim culture” said Yiannopoulos. “There are eleven Muslim countries in which I could be killed for being a homosexual. The state penalty is death. One hundred million people live in countries where the penalty for homosexuality is death. This is not radical Islam. This is mainstream Muslim society. Look what’s happening in Sweden. Look what’s happening anywhere in Germany, anywhere there are large influxes of a Muslim population. Things don’t end well for women and gays. The left has got to make a decision. Either they want female emancipation and it wants gay rights or it wants Islam. It’s got to pick…”

  14. “Women are treated abominably everywhere in the Muslim world. Gays are treated even worse. It shouldn’t be a surprise to us that when we invite these people into western, democratic, capitalist, free societies that bad things start to happen. America is the greatest country in the world. It is a country founded on freedom, freedom of movement, free enterprise, property rights, the rule of law, the First and the Second Amendment. Those principles have created the greatest country in the world. Those things are under threat from an alien culture that respects none of those principles.”

Yiannopoulos also pointed out the fact that the Orlando shooter failed to be fired after announcing that he wanted to “kill all black people” while working for security firm G4S.

“Remember, the shooter in Orlando was working at G4S and said he wanted to kill all black people. He didn’t get fired. Why? Because he’s Muslim. One was scared. Do they want a world in which Muslims get to do and say whatever they want and these tragedies become common place? Because I don’t want to see America go that way… Or do we make a stand?”

Yiannopoulos also spoke about his distaste for the term “hate crime”, gun free zones, and why the LGBT community should start to embrace the Second Amendment and protect themselves.
